Alfred de Breanski was born in 1877 to famous Victorian landscape painter Alfred De Breanski Snr and Welsh painter Annie Roberts. He was also the nephew of Gustave de Breanski, a successful coastal and seascape painter. Alfred Jr. started his artistic training at an early age, he enrolled at the Central St. Martin’s College of Art and Design and afterwards went to Paris where he trained further with the impressionists.
Breanski became known for his landscapes of the Highlands of Scotland and the Mountains of Wales, and also for his English garden scenes which he exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of British Artists.
