Well it is Easter...hasn't the first three months of 2018 gone fast....almost as fast as we have been working on acquiring new works by Clive Madgwick to satisfy the demand from the local community and from farther afield! Clive's fan base stretches overseas and we have clients wanting specific subjects from right around the globe. Of course, in the USA his work is still considered 'fine art'. There are some stand out works from the new arrivals, one is a very nice 18 x 30 inches painting of the Water Meadows in Sudbury! Yes, I did say that, and yes it does have water in the scene, a large work and beautifully painted, in perfect condition. We have the original sales receipt from 1991. The second stand out work is a 20 x 30 inches painting of Long Melford Green & Holy Trinity Church in evening glow, a superb painting dating from 1990. We have also just acquired a lovely early watercolour of the High Street, Lavenham, dating from 1971, it still has the original frame so this is a real piece of nostalgia and comes with a newspaper cutting too. If you live in Bildeston then you may like the painting we have of the Market Square, this one measures 12 x 18 inches; or maybe you might be tempted with a snow scene, we have a great one of Westminster in London measuring 20 x 30 inches and another with Pheasants by an old gate. All up we have over thirty works in stock and we are open all through the long bank holiday weekend. So why not pop in and take a look?
